My friend Chris posted this meme on her site, and I thought it would be fun to play along.
The rules are simple. Post 6 things that recently made you happy. Tag 6 people if you want to, but I'm going to take the easy way out and tag anyone who wants to play along. Everyone needs a little happiness once in awhile.
1. Having my cat and dog cuddled up next to me while I read.
2. My husband's smile, one especially reserved for me.
3. Butterfly Kisses.
4. A beautiful warm fall day.
5. Buttercream frosting lotion.
6. Curling up with a good book.
Take the nearest book next to you and answer the following questions:

I just bought Silence of the Grave! It was sitting on the TBR shelf but when I saw the first sentence it got elevated to next in line! Your six favs are very sweet. My husband is out with the dogs right now so I am getting a little break. Definitely a fav for me. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat is one heck of a first line! I couldn't be more intrigued. Must find that at the library.

Jaimie - Thank you for the award! That was so nice of you. :-) You made my day.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that first sentence very intriguing? The book is on my review pile and although I won't be reading it just yet, it was the closest one to me at the time. I am very eager to read it after reading that first sentence. Have you read his earlier book, Jar City yet? I haven't, but I'm sure I'll want to.
Time alone is nice when you can sneak it in. I hope your husband and the dogs had a good time.
Kookie - It is very enticing, isn't it? My husband thinks I'm weird. :-) I'm looking forward to reading it.
Ladytink - Thanks for playing along! I love to see who books are dedicated to. :-)
Melody - I'm glad you played along as well! I haven't read Marley and Me. I have heard it is very good.
What a great list! I've already stolen the happiness one because I've had a great deal to be happy about lately.

I haven't read Jar City yet, no, but I probably will. I started reading Silence of the Grave this afternoon and so far it is pretty good. I have never read anything that has taken place in Iceland so that grabbed my attention. I'm glad that you are happy with the award. I thought of you right away.
ReplyDeleteYour list of happy moments made me smile. Hope you read Jar City too - very good! I want to get my hands on the third book now.
ReplyDeleteCJ - Thank you! I feel very happy for you too!
ReplyDeleteJaimie - I haven't either and so I'm looking forward to reading a book in that setting. I used to write to a girl who lived in Iceland and it's a country I've always wanted to get to know better.
Iliana - I am glad I could make you smile. :-) I am also glad to hear that you enjoyed Jar City. I'm looking forward to reading the series.
Such a good book!!! I remember reading that and getting a bit of a shiver!!!
ReplyDeleteHeather - I'm really looking forward to diving into that one!
