Friday Fill Ins #11
1. I always look forward to Christmas.
2. Gold is my favorite color for the Christmas tree lights.
3. The candles in the window have no bulbs. I don't actually have any candles in the window.
4. The Miracle on 34th Street is one of my most favorite Christmas movies.
5. My favorite Christmas lyrics are always springing from my lips this time of year.
6. I'm dreaming of a steaming hot shower, a slice of chocolate cake, a tall glass of milk and settling down with a book in front of the fire.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep, tomorrow my plans include finishing up the Christmas cards and getting them in the mail, and Sunday, I want to walk down Main Street and stop in all the shops (rain or shine)!

I love your answer to #5!!!
ReplyDeleteWe, too, have gold Christmas lights. I think they look like candles when the room lights are off. And my daughter and I just watched Miracle on 34th Street! Although my favorite holiday movie is Holiday Inn.
ReplyDeletei love your answer to #6! i'd like to do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteJanet - I had to improvise since I couldn't settle on one. :-)
ReplyDeleteKaren - Yes, the gold bulbs definitely do look like candles in the dark. They look so pretty then.
I don't think I have ever seen the movie Holiday Inn. I must remedy that this holiday season. :-)
Alisonwood - It's a perfect way to spend and evening, don't you think?
Except for the glass of milk (make mine hot chocolate instead!), #6 sounds like a perfect way to spend the evening. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to stop looking at blogs and go do my cards. Have a great weekend!
We don't have any lights or candles or anything yet - we won't be doing house decorating till next weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour #7 sounds like my weekend plan, except that mine will have less cards and more shopping! :-) Have a good one!
Did you get your cards done? I ran around way too much this Saturday and honestly I feel like I got nothing done. Bah. Have fun shopping tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI like #6 and personalized it for own use. Haha.
ReplyDelete"I'm dreaming of a slice of coffee cake, a steaming hot of black coffee and settling down with a book on the sofa."
Happy weekend, Wendy! I'm off to the church now. Ta!
I love "Miracle on 34th Street" - the original version, of course. Also "Holiday Inn". Your shopping on Main Street sounds like a great plan.
ReplyDeleteTanabata - I thought about hot chocolate, but I was more in the mood for milk at the moment I wrote that. :-)
ReplyDeleteFlorinda - I still haven't done any decorating. I meant to start this afternoon, but ended up reading instead. :-)
Iliana - I got most of them done, with only a couple left that I want to write personal letters for. Whew!
I spent most of the day reading though--and so didn't get nearly as much accomplished as I might have liked. Oh well.
Alice - That's a good answer! I wouldn't mind some coffee cake right now . . .
Violetlady - Yes, that's my favorite version too. I was so disappointed that the new version did away with my favorite scene from the first one. :-(
Hey Wendy! I echo the others. #6 sounds GREAT!!! I hope you have a great weekend. Can't imagine my weekend is almost over and it's back to work tomorrow! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteI wish the weekend was a little longer. It's back to work for me tomorrow too.
