Anya is home from her surgery. She is stuck wearing a collar for the next several days. She is none too happy about it. Parker isn't too thrilled either. It's going to be an interesting next few days if he doesn't get acclimated to seeing his baby sister with it on. (When I take the collar off, Parker has no problem with Anya or the collar, for that matter--so it's definitely her wearing the collar that's the problem.)

Awwwww...
ReplyDeleteAnya is such a cutie! Parker, like Bookfool's puppy cat, reminds me a bit of my previous cat, CC.
And let me tell you, there have been times when I wished my Riley was the size of your Riley...

Oh! thank-you Wendy, Riley looks so much like a J.R. only his legs are long and his ears up, but the color is perfect and the markings, Give him a lot of scratches behind the ears. Does he behave like a J.R.?
ReplyDeleteSweet little Anya, she looks like she is ready to go swimming, Oliver rips those collars right off...his tail is healed now, but what a job to keep an eye on him...
Parker looks unbothered...cute kitty.
All your pets look so sweet, Wendy.
poor anya, but I do have to say the collars post-surgery are getting more fashionable.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, look at all your furkids! I'm so glad that everything is well with Anya. She looks cute in that collar although she's not exactly thrilled by it. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
Lovely photos. I see that you have The Angel of Forgetfulness by Steve Stern in your library. I'd be interested to know what you thought of it. How would you rate it? Worth reading?
ReplyDeleteYour animals are so cute. I feel bad for the kitty with the collar...that can't be comfortable :)
ReplyDeletePoor Anya! She does NOT look happy! They're all such cuties though.
ReplyDeleteAt least Anya got a lovely collar! The ones we get are always clear plastic, like we won't nice them. :-)
ReplyDeleteLezlie
What great photos!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I don't think any cats or dogs like those collars or cones they have to wear sometimes. I can't say that I blame them.
ReplyDeleteOh, Wendy, your pets are absolutely adorable. Poor Anya! I agree that color is much better than the hard, clear plastic ones.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE when you post pictures of your fur children! They all look like such nice pets! I hope little Anya recovers quickly!
ReplyDeleteYour fur kids are so adorable. Poor Anya, pets seem to really hate wearing those collars, not that I blame them. This one is pretty though. I'm glad she's ok and I hope she recovers quickly for both her and Parker's sake.

ReplyDeleteAwww, poor Anya. They always hate the collars. I agree with Serena, though. Collars weren't that fashionable when mine got "fixed" :P
ReplyDeleteAll three of them look adorable :)
Thank you all for your comments! After yesterday's excitement of being home and wanting to play all day, Anya's been pretty quiet today. She's definitely gotten in a lot of cuddle time with me, curling up on my chest or lap while I read or sit here at my computer. She gets around well with the collar--although I know she'd rather not have to wear it.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first experience with an animal collar and so I had no idea what they looked like other than what I saw on TV--those big plastic cone things. From your comments, I can see that Anya's lucky to have gotten such a pretty one! :-)
Sandra - You can find my review of the book here. I sometimes wonder looking back now if maybe I wasn't in the right place when I read it. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more had I read it at a different time.
More pics of your furkids! :) I enjoyed viewing them and I hope you'll post their pics more often. ;)
ReplyDeletePoor Anya - hope she heals up quickly! Such cute furkids :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, they're all so adorable! And Anya is already growing up! I'd never seen such a colourful collar before either. Just goes to show what a special little girl she is! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, such sweet and adorable pictures!!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos. Thanks for posting these. I felt more happy and relaxed after looking at your adorable critters.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ladies! I can't wait until Anya can go without the collar. I'm counting down the days until her stitches come out.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love! They are all three so cute. How is Anya doing now? Please give all 3 hugs and kisses from me.
ReplyDeleteTeddy Rose - Ah, thank you! They thank you for the kisses too. :-) Anya is doing well. I take her in tomorrow evening to have the stitches taken out. Hopefully the vet will give her a clean bill of health then.
ReplyDeleteEmmy refused to wear her collar (a clear plastic one) and always managed to get it off somehow. But she survived! Stitches out, fur growing back. Best wishes to Anja too :)
ReplyDeleteLenore - Anya managed to get hers off a couple of times, but for the most part, she adjusted and seemed to get on fine with it. She sure was glad when it was off though!
