I'm sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. It has been going around. Dar has been missing in action as well. I hope for your quick recovery, and look forward to seeing you back soon!
Wendy, Sorry to hear you feeling bad. It must be going around the blogger world because I've been sick since Saturday!!! No fun...take care, drink plenty of fluids, and of course, curl up with the pets and a good book!!
What a year! It seems like every time I turn around, someone is saying they're sick. Colds and intestinal flu bugs are running wild in my community. I had the latter a week ago and it was not fun! I hope you're feeling better soon. Sending good thoughts yours way.
Blessings on you as you recuperate! I have had five children in my class out this week, and I've been trying to conquer a cold since Martin Luther King, Jr. day on January 15. I'm sure you'll do better than I!
aww - feel better, Wendy! *sending virtual cups of tea and bowls of chicken noodle soup* On a positive note - maybe you'll have a little time to catch up on your reading? :)
So sorry you are unwell! I was sick all last week, ridiculously so, and really only started to get better when I let myself just sleep, not try to do anything... I recommend it and hope you get better faster!
Came to your blog tonight to drop you a line about "Defiance." Just saw it and oh wow - I found it incredibly moving! Teared up several times (first when the father bursts out crying after his daughter, whose name we don't even know , dies, then at the wedding, then when the old teacher dies). I haven't cried so much at a movie since "The Children of Men." Is this because I am Jewish? That certainly helps (the wedding chuppah, ripping the mezuzah off the door post, all had significance for me), but I recommend re-viewing it at a later time. ithought it was incredible!
Sorry L. Feline, Hope you are up and reading soon. I was down with a pinched nerve over the weekend and coming down with a cold. It's no fun being sick. I hope someone can take care of you. Hot tea, honey and lemon...with a little kitty love.
Terrible viruses going around--sorry you're down with it. Five out of five at my house have been sick, and three out of five have had secondary infections--one sinus infection, an ear infection, and bronchitis. Woohoo, when we get sick, we go for it! Hope you're feeling better soon :)
I have to get better with all the love you're giving me! Thank you for the get well wishes.
I wish I had good news, but right now I am still feeling pretty rotten. I have been functional enough to get through the work day, but that's about all I can manage. I guess that's something. If that wasn't enough, there was a death in the family recently--my husband's favorite cousin. And poor Parker is now on a special diet because of possible food allergies (we're experimenting to see if that's really the problem).
I hadn't meant to ramble on like this. I think I'm suffering from blog withdrawals. I am reading blog posts now and then when I am feeling up to it. So, even though I am not commenting, please know that I'm still dropping by.
Thank you again for the comments. Hopefully I will be feeling more like my old self soon. Being ill is no fun, as most of you well know.
Wendy, I hope you're feeling better soon. I got knocked flat by the flu a few weeks ago, and really missed blogging. I feel fortunate to be part of such a vibrant, supportive community of readers. Prayers going up for you and your family!
Hope you feel better soon and that you are not too sick you cant read.
I was really surprised by World War Z and really enjoyed it. If you see it at the library I would recommend picking it up :) World War Z was also my Tuesday Teaser last week if you want a taste.
