I've just been on that stretch of road! We went up to Colorado a couple of weeks ago and took the I-15 up to the I-70 in Utah. We came back home using various highways through the Navajo Nation and dropping down on Flagstaff (I love Flag!) where we played for several days before coming home via I-40 and I-15. No landscape or highways pics this time.
Sorry I'm late, but I have to add my appreciation. This is stark and beautiful. This brings hundreds of images to mind. You could look at this picture and travel someplace new every day!

I LOVE it! Talk about the open road! Where is this taken?
ReplyDeleteI've been there. I'm sure of it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, but desolate. I'm interested to know where it was taken too.
ReplyDeleteLove the mountains against the sky. The tilt gives it lots of movement!
ReplyDeleteWhat a view!

ReplyDeleteSandy & Kathy - The photo is of a stretch of road on I-15, driving through Nevada.
Makes me want to go on a road trip :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight, Wendy! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I adore driving through big open places like this. Don't know why, I think I just like the vastness of it maybe...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - the sky is so huge. (I know that sounds odd, but that was my reaction to first seeing the sky in California, too.) Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It makes me thirsty just thinking of Nevada. I had to carry bottled water everywhere, when we were there. Parched, parched.

I love the photo of the highway through the lens' "eyes". Amazing to look at :)

ReplyDeleteOh, yes - I-70 across Utah. I can enjoy the unique beauty of this part of the state if I'm in an air-conditioned car.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
