  1. When my kids were babies, our pets would always have to be close to them, protecting them. That is the sweetest thing.

  2. They look like they are great friends, what with all the napping together! I used to sit for a baby during the day at my home, and our big dog was ultra protective of her at all times. A lot of naps were taken together, and when someone other than the mom or dad came to pick the baby up, the dog went into guard dog mode. It was so cute to see him act that way. He loved that baby so much!

Mouse is getting so big! I love that little spray of hair!

  6. Hi Wendy :) I just love this picture. When I brought my babies home I always introduced them right away to my four legged children :))

  14. Thank you, All! Looks can be deceiving . . . Riley still isn't sure of Mouse and so ignores her most of the time. She, on the other hand, adores him. She laughs when she sees him and now is reaching for him. He may sniff at her on occasion, but, for the most part, the closest he'll get is what you see in the photo--and that's only because I'm right there. He really only wants to be by me.

I am hoping he'll warm up to her when she's a little older. I'm doing what I can to make him feel wanted and loved. Some days I think it's working and he's getting over his jealousy and other days I'm not so sure.
