Conversations with my daughter:
Upon coming home from work/school
Me: Time to get out of the car, little missy.
Mouse: I not missy. I Mouse.
Later that evening as we're getting ready for bed
Mouse: You big.
Me: Yes. I am a woman.
Mouse: No! You not wo-man. You mommy.
During bath time the next day
Mouse: You are not wo-man.
Me: Mouse and mommy are both women. Daddy is a man.
Mouse: You are not wo-man! You mommy! I missy!
Me: You're missy? I thought you were Mouse.
Mouse (laughing): I missy! You mommy! Daddy wo-man.

When I change feed reader (better say "when" than "if" because it might just happen that I'll have to) I think Bloglovin' will be it for me. The interface is just so nice; and it is good to claim your blog and see how many readers you have, agreed. Sounds as though your daughter's got everyone's identities sorted out for you!
ReplyDeleteCharlie - Yes, my daughter has it all worked out. :-) I love how she puts things together in her own special way.
DeleteI think Bloglovin is just too sophisticated for me, but I can see why it's the preferred choice for many. I don't think anything will fill the shoes of Google Reader--at least right now.
:D You're not a woman, you're MOMMY! That is simply the cutest!
ReplyDeleteJennifer - Isn't that cute? I love her certainty. :-)
DeleteMouse sounds adorable!!
ReplyDeleteKathy - I think so. :-)
DeleteWhat wonderful conversations you are having with Mouse. She is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteKathleen - She's quite the talker and says the funniest things. I'm sure every child her age does--but it's funny just the same.
DeleteOh, how I miss those days when the boys were little and we had conversations much like that one. I want to hug her!
ReplyDeleteStaci - They are so cute at this age, aren't they?
DeleteLove the cuteness conversation between you and Mouse! :) I have hard time deciding which feedreaders to move to. Right now I'm looking at Feedly but not sure if I'm sticking to that one. Should I move my blog to blogloving? I know I've been real quiet on my blog for long time now. But I have lists of books I read over the years and I don't want to lost it :)
ReplyDeleteJulia - It's hard to choose! I hate that we have to change feedreaders at all. Pouting will only get me so far though. I wish you luck in deciding which you'll go with.
DeleteToo funny! I so miss those adorable conversations!
ReplyDeleteLisa - I tried recording a few of them, but she usually shuts up when I try. LOL Isn't that always the way?
DeleteI am so glad you're writing down these little conversations! I neglected to do that when my kids were little, and I've forgotten a lot of priceless stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteSteph - I know I will forget so much . . . I try to write down what I can, but I know I miss so much.
DeleteLOLOL!!! Out of the mouths of babes. So fun that you're getting these things down. I keep meaning to pull out the tape recorder to get Elle's animal sounds and counting (I swear she's learning to count in German because those numbers do not sound English). Mouse/Missy is one smart little cookie!
ReplyDeleteI've gone with Feedly because I need something mobile and their app is the most robust but I'm still bummed out by this whole thing. Wish that things would stop changing on us! ;)
Trish - Now anytime Mouse puts on a headband (which she calls a hat), she says her name is Daisy. Not sure where that came from, but it's cute nonetheless.
DeleteI've been trying to get Mouse recorded too--it's not as easy as one would think, is it?
I would have preferred something mobile--but Feedly wasn't for me. The Old Reader doesn't have a mobile site, but it has a decent mobile look when I do use it on the phone.
Right now I'm using Feedly (and following you there!), but I've been curious about Bloglovin because I see people reach me that way. I'm going to miss Google Reader.
ReplyDeleteA.M.B. - Feedly seems to be the preferred choice, especially for mobile users. Thank you for following me. :-)
DeleteI'm trying not to use Google Reader anymore, but I still find myself going there to read my blog feeds. Old habits die hard, I guess.
