Mouse's Corner: A Photographer in the Making

Today's children are good with technology whether it be tablets, computers, gaming consoles, or cell phones. For the longest time, Mouse didn't seem particularly interested in any of them. Even despite her friends' interest in them. It's only been in the last year or so Mouse has taken to the tablet. She's quite a pro at finding her games or watching her favorite cartoons. As parents who know some of the pitfalls of online access, my husband and I are both very aware of what she's accessing and when (although, once she did purchase a couple episodes of Bubble Guppies before we had a chance to stop her--and we have taken measures to avoid that happening again).

Last summer Mouse took an interest in taking photos with our cell phones. She especially likes to take selfies. Children bring such an interesting perspective to life, don't they? I thought I would share some of Mouse's photos with you today (with her permission):

    1. Kathy - I think so too! It's so interesting what she decides to photograph. She takes a lot of selfies too, but I didn't want to post those. :-)

  4. So sweet! My father-in-law gave my toddler an old digital camera, and the photos he's taken are fascinating -- it's wondering to see the world from his perspective -- like these!

  9. Wow! At her age, I would've done solely pet photos (often with elaborate costumes, or making them look like they're reading books). I know because I took a few on our old disposable cameras. Some of hers actually look like the highly "liked" ones you'd see on instagram. :)

    1. Litha Nelle - I am not sure what I would have taken photos of at her age. LOL I am really impressed with how good her eye is for certain photos. Of course, it could just be luck.
